Clean your stethoscope by wiping it with a cloth dampened with mild soapy water. No mechanical cleaning methods should be used.

In general, it is sufficient to disinfect the surfaces that come into contact with the patient using a surface disinfectant after each use. Use DGHM (German Society for Hygiene and Microbiology) approved alcohol-based disinfectants. No mechanical disinfection methods should be employed.
